Why can't I connect a Binance testnet key?#

Use a paper account. It fills against Binance's live order book, with no key or money at risk. Testnet's thin books and drifting prices say little about live trading. See Paper or live.

What if I close the browser, or HookTrader restarts?#

Your trades run on our servers, with the stop and targets on Binance. After a restart, HookTrader re-arms every open trade and records fills it missed. See How your trade is protected.

Why was my alert marked "Alert too old"?#

By default a strategy ignores an alert over 30 seconds old, so a late alert can't trade at the wrong price. If yours are routinely slow, raise Ignore alerts older than in the Designer.

Why did a close fill smaller than expected?#

Binance closes in whole lot steps, so a percentage rounds down. An earlier target may also have shrunk the position. History's Orders list shows each fill.

Why doesn't my P&L include funding?#

Funding passes between your Binance wallet and other traders. HookTrader's P&L counts trading and fees only. Paper accounts pay no funding.

How are my API keys stored?#

Encrypted. HookTrader decrypts a key only to place or check an order. The secret is never shown again.

Forgot your password?#

The reset link works once and expires after 1 hour. Settings → Security → Sign out everywhere signs out every device.

How do I delete my account?#

Settings → Danger zone → Delete your account refuses while a position is open. Download your data in the same section exports your records.
