Invite codes#

HookTrader is invite-only during the closed beta. The invite system has two halves: the waitlist (open to anyone) and the codes (issued in batches).

Joining the waitlist#

From the public landing page, submit your email. You'll get a 6-digit confirmation email within a minute or two — enter the code on the same page to verify ownership.

Status What it means
Pending, unverified You submitted but haven't confirmed the email. The admin won't burn invite codes on unverified entries by default.
Pending, verified You're in the queue. Next batch of invites will likely include you.
Invited You've been emailed a code.

The queue is FIFO with a verified-first bias.

Receiving a code#

When the admin issues a batch, each entry gets:

  • A single invite code (e.g. BETA-7K3F2).
  • A prefilled signup link that drops the code into the form for you.

The email comes from our usual transactional sender (Resend). If it doesn't arrive within a few hours, check spam.

Using a code#

Each code has a finite number of uses. The first signups that submit the code consume the slots. If you share the link, others can use the remaining slots until they run out — after which the code is exhausted.

A code is consumed at the moment of successful signup (not when you click the link).

After signup#

The invite code is recorded against your account for bookkeeping — it doesn't change your plan or capabilities, but it lets us reconcile which waitlist batch produced which active user.

Edge cases#

Problem Fix
Code says "invalid" Either the code is wrong (typo), exhausted, or expired. Reply to the invite email.
Code says "already used" on first attempt You may already have an account on that email. Try Forgot password? instead.
Email never arrived Check spam, verify the address on the waitlist form. Some corporate mail servers quarantine first-time senders.
Lost the code email Reply to your original waitlist confirmation; the admin can re-issue.
